2021 Tormenta Godello
VINGÅRD:100% Godello de Grano Pequeno 20 år gamla vinstockar från en0,8 hektar stor vingård i San Juan de la Mata 650 meter över havet.
JORDMÅN: Kalksten och lera.
VINIFIKATION:Druvorna handskördades. Lätt skalkontakt i 24 timmar och därefter spontanjäste vinet med naturlig jäst på ståltank och cement.Vinet lagrades 13 månader på en blandning av Amfora 800 liter och använda ekfat av olika storlekar. En liten andel svavel tillsattes innan buteljering.
There is a new white Godello from limestone soils, from a vineyard she found to replace the vineyard she was using for the Cal. The 2021 Tormenta comes from a 0.8-hectare, head-pruned vineyard with 15- and 25-year-old vines following the limestone vein. It's austere, shy, a little closed and very tasty, and with time in the glass, it develops notes of white flowers. It was produced in exactly the same way as she was producing Cal (the white wine that she stopped making 2020, which was produced half in amphora and half in barrique). It's super tasty and has the salty tastiness of the chalky soils, and it's vertical, with a great mid-palate and pungent minerality. 6,200 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2022.
